CONDUCTED AND SUPPORTED ACTVITIES ON BEHALF OF IN MEDIAS RES (D/B/A ADVANCED STUDIES IN CULTURE FOUNDATION), WHICH INCLUDES THE ADMINISTRATION OF PRIVATE GRANT FUNDS RECEIVED FOR RESEARCH. THE PURPOSE OF THE ADVANCED STUDIES IN CULTURE FOUNDATION IS TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC AND KEY LEADERSHIP GROUPS IN SOCIETY ABOUT THE NATURE AND CHALLENGES OF POSTMODERN SOCIETY AND CONDUCT INQUIRY INTO A HUMANE AND DEMOCRACTIC RESPONSE TO THESE CHALLENGES BY SUPPORTING THE WORK OF THE INSITUTE FOR ADVANCED STUDIES IN CULTURE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA. THESE ACTIVITIES INCLUDE THE COORDINATION OF COLLOQUIA, CONFERENCES AND SEMINARS, AND PROVIDING EDITORIAL, CONSULTING, AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES FOR WRITERS CONDUCTING RESEARCH ON THE NATURE, CONTOURS, AND CHALLENGES OF CONTEMPORARY SOCIETY.
