SAMMAMISH LACROSSE CLUB PROVIDED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT, ENJOYMENT, AND CULTURAL ENRICHMENT OF THE SPORT OF LACROSSE TO BOYS IN THE BELLEVUE, WASHINGTON AREA. THIS YEAR, SLC HELD THREE CLINICS WITH 12 BOYS AGED 6-10 WHO WERE INTRODUCED TO LACROSSE. 79 YOUTH AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS RETURNED TO PLAY IN EIGHT TEAMS DURING THE 2022 SPRING AND FALL SEASONS. THE LEGACY OF THE COVID PANDEMIC CONTINUED TO IMPACT REGISTRATION, PARTICIPATION, GAME FORMAT, AND THE ECONOMIC ABILITY OF FAMILIES TO AFFORD TO PLAY. SLC PIVOTED DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME AND PURCHASED LOANER EQUIPMENT AND CONTINUED TO PROVIDE 15 SCHOLARSHIPS, SUPPORTING NEARLY 15% OF CLUB FAMILIES.
