DENTISTRY FROM THE HEART, BASED IN NEW PORT RICHEY, FLORIDA, IS DEDICATED TO PROVIDING FREE DENTAL CARE THOSE IN NEED. PRIOR TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, DENTISTRY FROM THE HEART RECRUITED HUNDREDS OF DENTAL PRACTICES ACROSS THE COUNTRY WHO WOULD DONATE THEIR TIME AND RESOURCES TO HOST THEIR OWN FREE DENTAL EVENTS. THOSE IN THE DENTAL INDUSTRY WHO HAVE PARTICIPATED IN SUCH EVENTS HAVE SHOWN A GIVING AND GENEROUS SPIRIT IN THEIR COMMUNITIES HELPING THOUSANDS OF PATIENTS AND PROVIDING MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN FREE DENTAL CARE. SINCE INCEPTION, DENTISTRY FROM THE HEART HAS DONATED OVER $25 MILLION AND HELPED OVER 500,000 PEOPLE. DURING 2020, DENTISTRY FROM THE HEART MOVED TO A MORE LOCAL APPROACH SERVING ITS OWN LOCAL COMMUNITY. IN PRIOR YEARS, DENTISTRY FROM THE HEART WOULD RECRUIT DENTAL PRACTICES ACROSS THE NATION TO HOST CHARITY EVENTS TO PROVIDE FREE DENTISTRY FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO CANNOT AFFORD DENTAL CARE IN THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITIES. THE INDEPENDENT PRACTICES WOULD PAY A FEE FOR PROVIDER SUPPORT INCLUDING LEGAL, MARKETING, MATERIAL DEVELOPMENT, AND OTHER EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH THE EVENTS. DUE TO THE CHALLENGES PRESENTED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, DENTISTRY FROM THE HEART HAS DISCONTINUED ITS NATIONAL PROGRAM AND HAS SHIFTED TO SERVING ITS OWN LOCAL COMMUNITY. DUE TO THE ONGOING PANDEMIC, NO DENTISTRY FROM THE HEART EVENTS WERE SCHEDULED IN 2021. DENTISTRY FROM THE HEART WILL CONTINUE AS A SOLO EVENT AT OUR NEW PORT RICHEY, FLORIDA LOCATION WHEN CONDITIONS ALLOW.
