THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH THE CORPORATION IS FORMED IS TO PROMOTE SOCIAL WELFARE AND IMPROVE THE HEALTH AND WELL BEING OF PATIENTS WHO HAVE ACUTE AND CHRONIC PULMONARY ISSUES.

THE CQRC'S PRIMARY ACTIVITIES ARE TO PROMOTE QUALITY HOME RESPIRATORY THERAPY CARE AND ADEQUATE REIMBURSEMENT FOR THESE SERVICES IN THE MEDICARE PROGRAM. THIS INCLUDES DEVELOPING OUTREACH MATERIALS TO EDUCATE PATIENTS, PHYSICIANS, AND OTHERS INTERESTED IN FEDERAL HEALTH POLICIES THAT AFFECT THE MEDICARE HOME RESPIRATORY THERAPY BENEFIT. THE ACTIVITIES ALSO INCLUDE DIRECT LOBBYING, OUTREACH TO THE CENTERS FOR MEDICARE AND MEDICAID SERVICES (CMS), AND THE WHITE HOUSE. THESE EFFORTS REQUIRE LEGAL, POLITICAL, AND ADVOCACY RESOURCES, AS WELL AS ANALYSIS OF GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE SECTOR DATA. ADDITIONALLY, THE CQRC DEVELOPED OUTREACH MATERIALS TO EDUCATE PATIENTS, PHYSICIANS, AND OTHERS INTERESTED IN FEDERAL HEALTH CARE POLICIES THAT AFFECT THE MEDICARE HOME OXYGEN THERAPY BENEFITS. THE CQRC ALSO CONTINUED TO MONITOR AND DISCUSS FEDERAL POLICIES RELATED TO THE MEDICARE HOME OXYGEN BENEFIT.
