SEATTLE SELECT BASEBALL WAS FORMED TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES AND EXPOSURE WHILE COMPETING AT THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF YOUTH BASEBALL WHILE INSTILLING DISCIPLINE, TEAMWORK, SPORTSMANSHIP, HONESTY, AND INTEGRITY. IN THE 2020-2021 SEASON, SEATTLE SELECT BASEBALL FIELDED 7 TEAMS WITH OVER 100 PLAYERS. THESE PLAYERS PARTICIPATED IN REGIONAL AND NATIONAL TOURNAMENTS, WINNING VARIOUS REGIONAL AND NATIONAL TITLES. THE COVID 19 EPIDEMIC CONTINUED TO SEVERELY HAMPER THE CLUB'S EFFORTS TO DEVELOP PLAYERS AND FIELD TEAMS. THE SEATTLE SELECT BASEBALL CLUB CAPITALIZED ON THE HARD WORK OF THE COACHES, PLAYERS, PARENTS, AND THE BOARD IN THE EFFORTS TO RETHINK AND IMPLEMENT WAYS THE CLUB COULD CONTINUE TO DEVELOP BASEBALL PLAYERS THAT CAN COMPETE AT THE COLLEGE AND MLB LEVELS SAFELY. THE RESULTS OF DEVELOPING A SOLID PROGRAM OF ATHLETICS AND ACADEMICS AGAIN GRADUATED SENIORS WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO PLAY COLLEGE BASEBALL. SEATTLE SELECT BASEBALL ALSO CONTINUED TO PROVIDE A SAFE PLAYING EXPERIENCE FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS DURING THE UNCERTAIN COVID ENVIRONMENT AND SHUT DOWN ACTIVITIES PREEMPTIVELY AND PROACTIVELY DURING THE SEASON WHEN NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN PARTICIPANT SAFETY. THE CLUB ALSO DEVELOPED A RETURN TO PLAY PROTOCOL, WHICH KEPT THE SAFETY OF PLAYERS, COACHES, AND FAMILIES AT UTMOST PRIORITY. DESPITE THE COVID 19 CHALLENGES, THE SEATTLE SELECT BASEBALL CLUB REVISED ITS PROGRAMS TO IMPROVE THE CLUB'S PERFORMANCE AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT. THE CLUB FOLLOWS COVID SAFETY PROTOCOLS AT OUR TRAINING FACILITY SO THAT WE CAN OFFER TRAINING SEVERAL NIGHTS A WEEK FOR ALL MEMBERS TO DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS AND PROVIDE A SAFE PLACE. THE 2020-2021 SEASON CONTINUED TO BRING COVID-RELATED FINANCIAL AND OPERATIONAL CHALLENGES, BUT THE CLUB MANAGEMENT, COACHES, VOLUNTEERS, AND PARENTS BANDED TOGETHER TO KEEP THE CLUB VIABLE AND SET US UP FOR A SUCCESSFUL 2021-2022 SEASON.
