GLOBAL LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT WORKING WITH AND INVESTING IN THE PROFESSIONAL CAPACITIES OF COMMUNITY PROFESSIONALS, WHO IN TURN SUSTAIN AND STRENGTHEN JEWISH COMMUNITIES ACROSS LATIN AMERICA; DESIGNING PROGRAMS TO PROVIDE OUTSTANDING LEADERS WITH PRACTICAL TOOLS TO GROW WITHIN THEIR PROFESSION, AND TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PAN-LATIN AMERICAN PROFESSIONAL NETWORK; IN THE FORMER SOVIET UNION (FSU), OFFERING A COMBINATION OF ON-LINE AND IN-PERSON ACTIVITIES THAT INVITE HUNDREDS OF YOUNG PEOPLE TO ENGAGE IN LEADERSHIP TRAINING AND JEWISH IDENTITY BUILDING; ONGOING INITIATIVES IN FSU ENSURING THAT LOCAL LEADERS ARE TRAINED AND PREPARED TO WITHSTAND (CONT. CAMPS AND INFORMAL JEWISH EDUCATION IN EUROPE BUNCHER-FUNDED JEWISH CAMPS SERVE HUNDREDS OF YOUNGSTERS IN THEIR MOST FORMATIVE YEARS. THEY PROVIDE A POSITIVE PLATFORM FOR ENCOUNTERING JEWISH EXPERIENCES AND CREATING MEANINGFUL FRIENDSHIPS, HELPING PERPETUATE JEWISH LIFE IN EUROPE AND BEYOND; THEY FOSTER THE NEXT GENERATION OF JEWISH LEADERS IMMERSING COHORTS OF YOUNG ADULTS N KNOWLEDGE, TOOLS, AND SKILLS TO PREPARE EACH PARTICIPANT FOR A ROLE AS JEWISH ACTIVISTS AND COMMUNAL LEADERS. 3. COMMUNITY CENTERS IN FSU AND EUROPE (JCCS) JCCS PROVIDE SOCIAL, EDUCATIONAL, AND VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES THAT BRING SHARED JEWISH VALUES TO LIFE; THEY ALSO SERVE AS AN ADDRESS FOR A UNIFIED JEWISH RESPONSE TO CHALLENGES FACING COMMUNITIES; JCCS COALESCE EFFORTS FOR UKRAINIAN REFUGEES, OFFERING COMPASSIONATE EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE AND COMFORT IN THEIR TIME OF GREATEST NEED.
REACHING THE MOST VULNERABLE JEWS - 1. NEW POOR IN ARGENTINA AND LATIN AMERICA RESPONDING TO THE NEEDS OF THE POST-PANDEMIC "NEW POOR" HOUSEHOLDS; IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE LOCAL BUENOS AIRES WELFARE ORGANIZATIONS, HELPING MORE THAN 50% OF THESE FAMILIES BECOME FINANCIALLY STABLE; PRIORITIZING NEEDS AND SAFETY NET PROGRAM TO ENABLE THE REST OF THE FAMILIES TO RETURN TO DIGNIFIED LIVING. 2. SUPPORT FOR VULNERABLE JEWS IN INDIA AND MOROCCO HELPING SUSTAIN THE MOST VULNERABLE MEMBER OF THE INDIAN JEWISH COMMUNITY, MAJORITY OF WHOM ARE OLDER ADULTS/ELDERLY, WITH MONTHLY STIPENDS, FOOD ASSISTANCE, AND MEDICAL CONSULTATIONS; ASSISTING POOR AND (CONT. ON SCHED. O) VULNERABLE ELDERLY, CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN MOROCCO; SUPPORTING JEWISH HOME FOR THE ELDERLY, THE OSE MEDICAL SERVICES, AND QUALITY JEWISH SCHOOLING IN MOROCCO.
GLOBAL DISASTER RESPONSE AND INNOVATION DEVELOPMENT - TRANSFORMING THE HORTICULTURE SECTOR IN ETHIOPIA BY INCREASING PRODUCTIVITY, INCOME, AND LIVELIHOODS OF SMALL-SCALE FARMERS THROUGH INNOVATIVE AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY AND A BLENDED FINANCE MODEL. SUSTAINABILITY OF THE PROGRAM IS ENSURED BY THE HANDOVER OF KNOWLEDGE TO LOCAL PARTNERS AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMPETITIVE MARKET FOR ISRAELI TECHNOLOGY. IN 2023, TOV AIMS TO REACH 750 FARMERS BY CONTINUING CURRENT ACTIVITIES AS WELL AS DIVERSIFYING PARTNERS AND FUNDERS TO REACH MORE REGIONS AND FARMERS.
