THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED FIELDS, EQUIPMENT, COACHES, AND LEAGUE PLAYING OPPORTUNITIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, WITH FEE WAIVERS AND PERSONAL EQUIPMENT PROVIDED FOR THOSE WHO COULD NOT PAY. THIS ACTIVITYINCLUDED THE EDUCATION OF PLAYERS, COACHES, AND PARENTS IN THE TRADITIONS OF LACROSSE, INCLUDING RESPECT FOR THE GAME, ONE ANOTHER, AND OUR OPPONENTS. IN 2023, ALC REGISTERED 325 PLAYERS (201 GIRLS AND 124 BOYS) FROM OVER 235 FAMILIES REPRESENTING OVER 20 DIFFERENT SCHOOLS FOR OUR SPRING SEASON.APPROXIMATELY 2 FEE WAIVERS ($225 EACH) WERE AWARDED. FOR THE 2023 FALL CLINIC ALC REGISTERED 112 PLAYERS (51 GIRLS AND 61 BOYS) AND APPROXIMATELY 1 FEE WAIVER ($125 EACH) WAS AWARDED. PLAYER LOANER EQUIPMENT WAS DISTRIBUTED TO APPROXIMATELY 25 FAMILIES. ALC ALSO SERVES OUR COMMUNITY BY SPONSORING THE LOCAL MIDDLE SCHOOLS WITH LACROSSE EQUIPMENT SO THAT THEY CAN RUN AN INTRAMURAL PROGRAM. ALC ALSO SUPPORTS RECREATION FOR SPECIAL NEEDS ATHLETES IN THE CITY OF ALEXANDRIA. ALCSUPPORTS THE LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND BY PROVIDING TWO SCHOLARSHIPS (ONE FOR A BOY AND ONE FOR A GIRL) WITH THE PREFERENCE BEING THAT THE SCHOLARSHIP BE AWARDED TO ANY FORMER ALC PLAYER GOING TO COLLEGE.
