CATOM PROJECT:UNICEF ESTABLISHED CATOM (MULTIPURPOSE COMMUNITY CENTERS) TO ENHANCE THE STATUS OF WOMEN AND YOUTH IN TURKEY'S SOUTHEASTERN ANATOLIA REGION. CATOM RECENTLY EXPANDED TO INCLUDE THE BLACK SEA REGION WITH FUNDS RECEIVED FROM THE EUROPEAN UNION. IN 2014, ATFC PROVIDED SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO 3,000 STUDENTS IN THE SMALL VILLAGES OF KILIS AND VAN, TURKEY; BOOKS, COMPUTERS AND PROJECTORS; COATS TO 700 STUDENTS, AND SCHOLARSHIPS TO 40 STUDENTS.
