EMPLOYMENT: IN ORDER TO PROMOTE A DIVERSE WORKFORCE IN THE CREATIVE CORRIDOR, DIVERSITY FOCUS IS CREATING AND ENHANCING LOCAL PROFESSIONAL NETWORKS. WE ARE COORDINATING NEWCOMER SERVICES FOR NEW HIRES THAT ARE MEMBERS OF TARGETED EMERGING COMMUNITIES. OUR ORGANIZATION IS ALSO CONNECTING NEW RESIDENTS TO LOCAL NETWORKS THAT CAN HELP INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES DECIDE TO REMAIN IN THE REGION. DIVERSITY FOCUS IS WORKING WITH AREA BUSINESS EMPLOYEE RESOURCE GROUPS TO EXPAND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES AMONG EMPLOYEES AND ENSURE THEY SUCCESSFULLY ADAPT TO THE COMMUNITY. WE ARE PROMOTING A FRIENDLY, OPEN AND INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT.
EDUCATION: IN ORDER TO ADVANCE THE CONCEPT OF LIFELONG LEARNING, DIVERSITY FOCUS IS IMPLEMENTING A MULTIFACETED APPROACH TO EDUCATION WHILE PROMOTING THE VALUE OF DIVERSITY IN THE COMMUNITY. THE CREATIVE CORRIDOR OFFERS A NUMBER OF PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE TO LEARN. DIVERSITY FOCUS PARTNERS WITH LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS AND SCHOOLS TO IMPROVE THE REGION'S COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAMMING. WE HAVE DEVELOPED COLLABORATIVE PARTNERSHIPS WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO MINIMIZE DUPLICATION OF EFFORTS AND TO ACCELERATE THE USE OF PROVEN MODELS. OUR ORGANIZATION WORKS WITH COMMUNITY LEADERS, EDUCATORS AND PARENTS TO ENSURE EVERY CHILD CAN ACHIEVE HIS OR HER FULL POTENTIAL. WE CONNECT PEOPLES' PASSIONS TO COMMUNITIES FOR MUTUAL GROWTH. DIVERSITY FOCUS STRENGTHENS CULTURAL EXCHANGE BY IMPROVING ACCESS TO COMMUNITY RESOURCES. WE EMPOWER RESIDENTS BY PROVIDING TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES AND EXPERIENCES THAT RAISE AWARENESS AND EXPLORE THE IMPACT OUR UNIQUE CULTURES HAVE ON OUR INTERACTIONS WITH OTHERS.
ARTS & CULTURE: OUR GOAL IS FOR THE CREATIVE CORRIDOR TO BECOME ONE OF THE MOST VIBRANT REGIONS IN THE COUNTRY. TO DO THIS, DIVERSITY FOCUS WILL ENGAGE THE AREA IN VARIOUS ARTISTIC, INTELLECTUAL AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES BY PROVIDING NURTURING CULTURAL EXPERIENCES FOR PEOPLE OF DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS. IN COLLABORATION WITH THE ARTS AND CULTURE ORGANIZATIONS WITHIN THE REGION, DIVERSITY FOCUS WILL PROMOTE AND PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES TO CONNECT PEOPLE TO THEIR COMMUNITIES. BY CREATING NEW EVENTS, AS WELL AS PARTNERING WITH EXISTING EVENTS, WE INFORM THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE VALUE THAT EMERGING AND ESTABLISHED COMMUNITIES BRING TO THE AREA. WE ORGANIZE AND PROMOTE EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES THROUGHOUT THE REGION TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT DIVERSE CULTURES. DIVERSITY FOCUS' GOAL IS TO BE THE TRUSTED SOURCE OF INFORMATION CONNECTING COMMUNITIES TO ARTS AND CULTURE.
