MORE THAN 1000 VOLUNTEERS AND SUPPORTERS HAVE ENGAGED WITH AWBS FOR POSITIVE IMPACT THROUGH DESIGN LOCALLY IN SEATTLE, AND IN MORE THAN A DOZEN COUNTRIES INTERNATIONALLY. IN 2021 AWBS CONTINUED ADJUSTED OPERATIONS TO KEEP OUR VOLUNTEERS AND COMMUNITY SAFE DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, WHILE PLANNING FOR THE TIME WHEN MORE NORMAL OPERATIONS COULD COMMENCE. VOLUNTEERS HAVE PROVIDED DESIGN SERVICES FOR ACCESS TO COMMUNITY HEALTH CARE FACILITIES IN SIERRA LEONE AND CRITICAL PUBLIC SANITATION FACILITIES ON MOUNT EVEREST. AWBS VOLUNTEERS ALSO GAVE TIME TO SUPPORT SAFE AND DIGNIFIED HOUSING FOR PEOPLE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS IN SEATTLE IN COLLABORATION WITH THE BLOCK PROJECT.
