TO ASSIST IN IMPROVING THE LIVES OF THOSE WHO LIVE IN NEW ORLEANS AND THE [CONT'D ON SCH O] SURROUNDING AREAS WITH AN EMPHASIS ON SUPPORTING CHILDREN'S ATHLETIC PROGRAMS AND INITIATIVES FOR FIRST RESPONDERS AND MILITARY PERSONNEL.

THROUGH JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAMMING, THE KELLY GIBSON FOUNDATION CREATES A POSITIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCE THROUGH GOLF BY PROVIDING GOLF TOURNAMENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.THE JUNIOR GOLF TOUR IS OPEN TO BOTH MALE AND FEMALE GOLFERS AGES 7-22. MEMBERS OF THE KGJGT (KELLY GIBSON JUNIOR GOLF TOUR) WILL COMPETE IN JUNIOR GOLF TOURNAMENTS THROUGHOUT NEW ORLEANS, LA AND THE GULF COAST REGION. THE ALLSTATE SUGAR BOWL TOMMY MOORE MEMORIAL JUNIOR GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP IS AN ANNUAL TOURNAMENT INVITING TOP-RANKED JUNIOR GOLFERS FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY EACH HOLIDAY SEASON IN NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA.


DURING 2021, THE KELLY GIBSON JUNIOR GOLF TOUR AWARDED $22,000 IN COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS TO 12 PARTICIPANTS. SINCE 2010, 284 SCHOLARSHIPS VALUED AT APPROXIMATELY $655,800, HAVE BEEN AWARDED TO MEMBERS OF THE KGJGT THROUGH VARIOUS COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS. THESE SCHOLARSHIPS ARE GIVEN BASED ON COMMUNITY SERVICE, GRADE POINT AVERAGE, AND FINANCIAL NEED; NOT GOLFING ABILITY. MEMBERS OF THE KGJGT WHO ARE AT LEAST JUNIORS IN HIGH SCHOOL ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY.THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES GRANTS TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS THAT SHARE OUR COMMITMENT IN HELPING THOSE WHO LIVE IN NEW ORLEANS AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS. DURING 2021, THE FOUNDATION GRANTED A TOTAL OF $6,055 TO VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS.
