CRIBS FOR KIDS - CRIBS FOR KIDS CONTINUES TO BE THE LEAD AGENCY FOR NEVADA PROVIDING STATEWIDE COORDINATION OF SAFE SLEEP AND SIDS PREVENTION THROUGH PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION, AWARENESS, AND PARTNERING FOR DIRECT CLIENT EDUCATION AND SERVICE. TO DATE, CRIBS FOR KIDS HAS 42 PARTNERS STATEWIDE. A TOTAL OF 151 PROFESSIONALS WERE TRAINED THIS YEAR THROUGH 8 TRAININGS STATEWIDE. THERE WERE 386 SAFE SLEEP SURVIVAL KITS DISBURSED STATEWIDE. 342 FAMILIES WERE EDUCATED AND RECEIVED SURVIVAL KITS FROM THE CRIBS FOR KIDS PROGRAM.BEGINNING MAY 9, 2015, REMSA IS THE LEAD AGENCY OF THE CRIBS FOR KIDS PROGRAM IN NEVADA. SAFE KIDS WASHOE COUNTY WILL NOT HAVE ANY FINANCIAL ACTIVITY FOR THIS PROGRAM IN FUTURE YEARS.
NOT EVEN FOR A MINUTESAFE KIDS WASHOE COUNTY PARTNERED WITH THE ROTARY CLUB OF RENO SUNRISE TO BRING THE NOT EVEN FOR A MINUTE CAMPAIGN TO NORTHERN NEVADA. THE PURPOSES OF THE CAMPAIGN IS TO ALERT PARENTS AND OTHER CAREGIVERS NOT TO LEAVE A CHILD UNATTENDED IN OR AROUND A MOTOR VEHICLE.
WATER WATCHER WHISTLE PROGRAMWE ORDERED 2,500 WHISTLES AND LAMINATED CARDS THAT PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS ON WHAT TO DO IF A CHILD IS DROWNING. THESE CARDS AND WHISTLES WERE DISTRIBUTED TO LOCAL APARTMENT COMPLEXES WITH POOLS TO PROVIDE TO THEIR RESIDENTS.
