MEMBERSHIP:MEMBERS OF THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF HIV MEDICINE ARE MEDICAL DOCTORS (MDS), DOCTORS OF OSTEOPATHY (DOS), NURSE PRACTITIONERS (NPS), PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS (PAS), OR PHARMACISTS (PHARMDS OR RPHS) WHO TREAT PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS.
CREDENTIALING:THE CREDENTIALING PROGRAM PROVIDES PARTICIPANTS WITH THE HIV SPECIALIST, PHARMACIST OR EXPERT DESIGNATION AFTER MEETING STRICT EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS AND SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETING A RIGOROUS, PSYCHOMETRICALLY SOUND, KNOWLEDGE-BASED EXAM ON HIV-SPECIALIZED MEDICAL AND PHARMACOLOGIC CARE.
