THE MISSION OF THE CENTER FOR WOMEN AND DEMOCRACY IS TO BUILD A COMMUNITY OF DIVERSE WOMEN LEADERS THROUGH DISCUSSION, EDUCATION, ADVOCACY, CONNECTION, AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT TO EMPOWER ALL WOMEN TO LEAD WHERE THEY LAND. WE USE AN INTERSECTIONAL LENS TO BETTER UNDERSTAND AND REPRESENT THE NEEDS AND INTERESTS OF ALL WOMEN AND USE OUR PLATFORM TO AMPLIFY THE VOICES OF WOMEN WHO MAY NOT BE HEARD IN OTHER SETTINGS. OUR MEMBERS AREN'T AFRAID TO DISCUSS CONTROVERSIAL TOPICS AND ENCOURAGE DIFFICULT CONVERSATIONS THAT CHALLENGE THE STATUS QUO. WE BRING IN SPEAKERS WHO CAN SHARE THEIR LIVED EXPERIENCES, KNOWLEDGE, PERSPECTIVE, AND STORIES ON KEY ISSUES. THROUGH DISCUSSION, EDUCATION, AND ADVOCACY, WE WORK FOR A MORE EQUITABLE FUTURE.
