THE AMERICAN FRIENDS OF THE HESCHEL CENTER, INC., ENVISIONS A JUST AND SUSTAINABLE SOCIETY IN ISRAEL, WITH FULL PARTICIPATION OF ALL ITS DIVERSE INHABITANTS AND IN PRODUCTIVE DIALOGUE WITH AMERICAN INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS ENGAGED IN FURTHERING SUSTAINABILITY AROUND THE WORLD.THE AMERICAN FRIENDS OF THE HESCHEL CENTER, INC.'S MISSION IS TO SUPPORT THE WORK OF THE HESCHEL CENTER FOR SUSTAINABILITY IN ISRAEL IN ITS WORK TO BUILD AND STRENGTHEN THE RAPIDLY GROWING SUSTAINABILITY MOVEMENT IN ISRAEL.

ACHIEVEMENTS TO WHICH THE ORGANIZATION CONTRIBUTED THROUGH ITS SUPPORT OF THE HESCHEL CENTER FOR SUSTAINABILITY IN ISRAEL INCLUDES THE TRAINING OF 400 CHANGE-MAKERS FROM ALL SECTORS OF ISRAELI SOCIETY WHO ARE DEDICATED TO THE VISION OF A SUSTAINABLE SOCIETY, THE DEVELOPMENT OF 15 LOCAL SUSTAINABILITY CENTERS THROUGHOUT ISRAEL, AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A NETWORK TO ADDRESS THE IMPACT OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON ISRAEL.
