WE CREATED EFFECTIVE FARMER NETWORKING ON A STATE BY STATE AND NORTHEAST LEVEL BY;A) HAVING A BI-MONTHLY NEWSLETTER THAT GOES OUT TO OVER 800 MEMBERS, B) ORGANIZING AN ANNUAL FIELD DAYS EVENT AND PRODUCER MEETING,C) CREATING AND MODERATING "ODAIRY", THE ORGANIC DAIRY ELECTRONIC DISCUSSION GROUP, WHICH HAS OVER 450 SUBSCRIBING MEMBERS,D) DEVELOPING A CONTINUALLY UPDATED WEBSITE FILLED WITH RESOURCES FOR DAIRY FARMERS, ANDE) ADMINISTERING PRODUCER SURVEYS PROVIDING INFORMATION ON PAY PRICE OF MILK, COST OF PURCHASED FEEDS, PASTURE USE AND FEEDBACK ON IMPORTANT ISSUES.F) TO INVESTIGATE AND DEVELOP A NEW ORGANIC DAIRY SUPPLY-SIDE MODEL THAT IS BASED ON A REGIONAL SOLUTION TO THE CHANGING DYNAMICS OF PROCESSSING ORGANIC DAIRY PRODUCTS.
