THE MISSION OF THE MID-AMERICA SCIENCE MUSEUM IS TO STIMULATE INTEREST IN SCIENCE, TO PROMOTE PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING OF THE SCIENCES, AND TO ENCOURAGE LIFE-LONG SCIENCE EDUCATION THROUGH INTERACTIVE EXHIBITS AND PROGRAMS.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING IS A CORE FUNCTION OF THE MUSEUM AND PROVIDES THE GREATEST SERVICE TO THE MISSION. SINCE 1979, THE MUSEUM HAS ENJOYED OVER 3 MILLION VISITORS FROM ACROSS THE GLOBE AND ESPECIALLY FROM THE REGION SURROUNDING HOT SPRINGS AND ARKANSAS. SINCE RE-OPENING AFTER A MAJOR RENOVATION IN 2015, THE MUSEUM HAS SERVED NEARLY 35,000 SCHOOL STUDENTS WITH TARGETED STEM PROGRAMMING AND EVENTS.
