UNIFYING PEOPLE AND TALENT TO ADVANCE THE WELL-BEING OF UNDERSERVED CHILDREN, INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR COMMUNITIES THROUGH VARIOUS INITIATIVES INCLUDING RENOVATION OF CHARITABLE FACILITIES SERVING YOUTH, VETERANS AND THOSE COPING WITH HUNGER, POVERTY, ABUSE, DISABILITY AND OTHER VULNERABILITIES

CO-ORDINATION OF A DAY OF SERVICE SPONSERED BY LA DODGERS, LA DODGERS FOUNDATION AND MAGICAL BUILDERS HELD AT JOHN MUIR HIGH SCHOOL. RENOVATIONS INCLUDED NEW EQUIPMENT IN THE WEIGHT ROOM AND LOCKERS IN MENS AND WOMENS LOCKER ROOM, NEW PAINT, SHELVING AND STORAGE IN THE ARTS DEPARTMENT, RENOVATION OF THE GARDEN AND SOFTBALL FIELD


CO-ORDINATION OF RENOVATION FOR TRANSITION HOUSING FOR VETERANS IN TWO LOCATIONS: TRANSITION HOUSE FOR VETERANS AND BALLINGTON PLAZA HOME FOR VETERANS. SPONSERED BY LA DODGERS AND MAGICAL BUILDERS AND SERVING THE HOMELESS POPULATION OF VETERANS IN DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES IN THE HEART OF SKID ROW. LA HAS THE LARGEST CONCENTRATION OF HOMELESS VETERANS PER CAPITA AND WHY THE WORK HERE IS SO IMPORTANT. BOTH PROJECTS WERE PART OF THE MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL ALL STAR WEEK.
