HANDS &VOICES SUPPORTS FAMILIES WHO HAVE CHILDREN WHO ARE DEAF OR HARD OF HEARING AGES BIRTH THRU HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION, AND THOSE WHO WORK WITH THEM. OUR SUPPORT EFFORTS INCLUDE PARENT/PROFESSIONAL COLLABORATION, ADVOCACY TRAINING AND SOCIAL EVENTS.

OUTREACH SERVICES TO PARENTS AND PROFESSIONALS WHO HAVE D/HH CHILDREN AND/OR SERVE CHILDREN. OUTREACH SERVICES INCLUDE EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS,1 TO 1 SUPPORT, STATE CHAPTER TRAININGS, PARENT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCES, SUPPORT TO NEW FAMILIES AT THE TIME OF IDENTIFICATION THROUGH THE GUIDE BY YOUR SIDE PROGRAM (GBYS 6,753 FAMILIES SERVED).ADVOCACY THROUGH THE ASTRA PROGRAM (391 FAMILIES SERVED 1200 ADVOCATES TRAINED IN 25 STATES). SUPPORT THROUGH THE O.U.R PROJECT REDUCING THE INCIDENCE OF CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT FOR THIS POPULATION. SERVED OVER 23000 PARENTS/PROFESSIONALS. 225 ATTENDEES ATTENDED THE HANDS & VOICES LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE IN 2021. LATINO SUPPORT COUNCIL WITH INCREASED LEADERSHIP AND MATERIALS ON WEBSITE.
INFORMATION DISSEMINATION, WEBSITE ,PRESENTATIONS, WEBINARS, VIRTUAL CLASSES, RESOURCE GUIDES, TRAINING MODULES, A "VIRTUAL WAITING ROOM", SURVEYS, THE HANDS & VOICES COMMUNICATOR DISTRIBUTED TO OVER 5,800 4 TIMES A YEAR., WWW.HANDSANDVOICES.ORG, WWW.NDEPNOW.ORG, BOOK OF CHOICE(780 COPIES}, ADVOCACY GUIDE BOOKS (500 COPIES) ,WE ARE HANDS & VOICES( 200 COPIES), FOSTERING JOY JOURNAL (960). AN APP FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN NEWLY IDENTIFIED WITH HEARING LOSS DOWNLOADED BY OVER 431 INDIVIDUALS. DEVELOPED THE H&V ADVANCING DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION & ACCESSIBILITY GUIDELINES DOCUMENT.
H&V REPRESENTATION ON NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL BOARDS AND COMMITTEES. CONTINUED LATINO SUPPORT COUNCIL WITH INCREASED LEADERSHIP AND MATERIALS ON WEBSITE.
