MCAP'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE FREE LEGAL REPRESENTATION TO ABUSED AND NEGLECTED CHILDREN. ATTORNEY ADVOCATES REPRESENT THESE VULNERABLE, VOICELESS CHILDREN AS THEY NAVIGATE THE LEGAL AND SOCIAL SERVICE ARENAS.

THE MONTGOMERY CHILD ADVOCACY PROJECT (MCAP) SOLICITED LICENSED PENNSYLVANIA ATTORNEYS TO SERVE ON A PRO-BONO BASIS AND TRAINED SUCH ATTORNEYS IN THE ADVOCACY AND PROTECTION OF THE RIGHTS OF MINORS IN THE ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROGRAM; ASSESSMENT OF THE NEED FOR AN ADVOCATE; SERVICE AS A LIASON WITH OTHER AGENCIES; REVIEW OF MATTERS SUBJECT TO COURT APPOINTMENT. IN 2021 MCAP REPRESENTED CHILDREN IN 536 CASES AND APPROXIMATELY 14,392 HOURS OF ATTORNEY SERVICES WERE DONATED TO THE ORGANIZATION FOR THESE CASES.
