MEMBERSHP: THE CLUB IS ORGANIZED TO FOSTER CAMARADERIE AMONG LOCAL TRIATHLETES AND TO BUILD INTEREST IN THE SPORT OF TRIATHLON THROUGHOUT THE WASHINGTON, D.C. AREA. THE CLUB PROVIDES TRAINING SESSIONS, WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS TO HELP DEVELOP ITS MEMBERS ABILITIES AS TRIATHLETES.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH & ADVOCACY: THE CLUB ADVOCATES FOR THE SAFETY FOR ALL ATHLETES (SWIMMERS, CYCLISTS, AND RUNNERS) IN THE WASHINGTON DC AREA BY SUPPORTING COMMUNITY EFFORTS TO RAISE BICYCLE AWARENESS AND SAFETY, WATER SAFETY, AND THE MAINTENANCE OF AREA TRAILS. THE CLUB ALSO ENCOURAGES THE FORMATION OF SMALLER COMMUNITY GROUPS AMONG MEMBERS TO FOSTER MEMBER CAMARADERIE. THE CLUB SUPPORTS THE PLANNING OF COMMUNITY GROUP TRAINING EVENTS, SEMINARS, AND SOCIAL HOURS.
