THE DOMINGUEZ DREAM COLLABORATES WITH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRINCIPALS AND FACULTY, PARENTS AND COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS TO PROVIDE LITERACY AND STEAM PROGRAMS TO 5,400 STUDENTS IN 13 SCHOOLS ACROSS 4 MARKETS IN CALIFORNIA: SACRAMENTO, LOS ANGELES, SAN BERNARDINO, FRESNO - AND 1 SCHOOL IN ARIZONA. WE SUPPORT SCHOOLS WITH AT LEAST 60% OF STUDENTS ELIGIBLE FOR FREE OR REDUCED-PRICE LUNCH. THROUGH OUR PROGRAMS, WE TOUCHED THE LIVES OF OVER 155,000 STUDENTS, FAMILIES AND SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS AND STAFF. OUR INQUIRY BASED PROGRAMS PROVIDE HANDS ON LEARNING OF 21ST CENTURY SKILLS, BUILDING OUR STUDENTS CRITICAL THINKING, COMMUNICATION, COLLABORATION, AND CREATIVE SKILLS. FOR MANY STUDENTS, OUR PROGRAMS ARE THE FIRST AND ONLY OPPORTUNITY TO ACCESS STEAM ENRICHMENT AND INTERFACE WITH PROFESSIONALS IN THE FIELD WHO SERVE AS A ROLE MODELS. WE STRIVE TO BRIDGE THE EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT GAP BY PROVIDING A POSITIVE AND LASTING IMPACT ON STUDENTS, PARENTS, EDUCATORS, SCHOOLS AND THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY.
