OUR MISSION IS TO CREATE PARTNERSHIPS AMONG THE MEDICAL PROFESSION AND THE COMMUNITIES IT SERVES TO RESOLVE ESSENTIAL HEALTH ISSUES. TO PROMOTE OUR MISSION, WE PLAN TO MANAGE PROGRAM GRANTS IN SUPPORT OF PUBLIC HEALTH, PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR PHYSICIANS TO PURSUE CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION, AND FACILITATE STRATEGIC PARTERSHIPS AMONG VARIOUS HEALTHCARE SECTIONS, INCLUDING PHYSICIANS, THE PUBLIC, OTHER HEALTH PROFESSIONALS, AND THE GOVERNMENT.

IOMPH CONVENED THE HEALTHCARE EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY TO BUILD COLLABORATIVE LEADERSHIP SKILLS THROUGHOUT THE NJ HEALTHCARE ARENA. NJ HELA BRINGS TOGETHER FUTURE AND CURRENT LEADERS FROM MEDICINE, HOSPITALS AND THE INSURANCE INDUSTRY TO WORK THROUGH LARGE HEALTHCARE PROBLEMS FACING NJ. THOSE TOPICS INCLUDE CARING FOR PATIENTS AT THE END OF LIFE AND ADDRESSING NJ OPIOID EPIDEMIC.


IOMPH ASSISTED PHYSICIANS CONFRONTING THE COVID PANDEMIC BY ACQUIRING AND DISTRIBUTING PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT FOR USE IN PRIVATE MEDICAL OFFICES. THIS PROGRAM FILLED A NEED FOR SMALL PRACTICES THAT DID NOT HAVE ACCESS TO SMALL QUANTITY OF PPE TO PROTECT THEIR STAFF WHILE REOPENING FOR COMMUNITY BASED MEDICAL CARE.


IOMPH PARTNERED WITH THE AMA TO PROVIDE A RESEARCHED BASED "STEPS FORWARD" PROGRAM TO ASSIST PRACTICES AND HOSPITALS ADDRESSING THE LARGE AND GROWING PROBLEM OF PHYSICIAN BURN OUT. THE PROGRAM ALSO PROVIDE THE FIRST MEDICAL PRACTICE BASED RESEARCH PROJECT. PRACTICES WERE PROVIDED WORKFLOW IMPROVEMENT TOOLS AND TRAINING TO ASSESS IMPROVEMENTS IN THE RATES OF PHYSICIAN BURNOUT IN EACH PRACTICE SETTING.
