CONSERVE SIGNIFICANT NATURAL LANDSCAPES IN THE LOWER ESOPUS CREEK WATERSHED AND THE SAUGERTIES AREA BY PROTECTING THE RURAL CHARACTER OF THE ENVIRONMENT, BY CONSERVING AND PROTECTING NATURAL HABITATS, BY PROMOTING DIVERSITY, AND BY SHARING THESE RESOURCES WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY THROUGH EDUCATION AND YOUTH PROGRAMS.

STEWARDSHIP AND LAND MANAGEMENT OF 160 ACRE ESOPUS BEND NATURE PRESERVE (EBNP), PROVIDING YEAR-ROUND PUBLIC ACCESS TO HUNDREDS OF VISITORS FOR PASSIVE RECREATION.
ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION THROUGH SPONSORSHIP OF NATURE WALKS, ON-THE-WATER PADDLES, LECTURES, AND PARTICIPATION WITH AREA SCHOOLS AND OTHER YOUTH PROGRAMS USING EBNP AS AN OUTDOOR CLASSROOM FOR APPROXIMATELY 1,300 STUDENTS.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH THROUGH PUBLICATION OF A NEWSLETTER, ART SHOWS, PUBLIC MEETINGS, AND MAINTENANCE OF AN INFORMATIONAL WEB SITE.
