NPIAP HOLDS ANNUAL CONFERENCES TO EDUCATE AND SHARE INFORMATION WITH HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS NURSES, PHYSICAL THERAPISTS, DOCTORS, DIETICIANS, RESEARCHERS AND OTHERS INVOLVED IN PRESSURE INJURY PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT. TWO PANEL MEETINGS PER YEAR ARE HELD FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE ORGANIZATION TO EXCHANGE INFORMATION AND DEVELOP GUIDELINES RELATIVE TO PRESSURE INJURY IDENTIFICATION, PREVENTION AND TREATMENT.
GUIDELINES DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM: THE PRESSURE INJURY PREVENTION AND TREATMENT GUIDELINES PRODUCTS, DEVELOPED BY THE NPIAP GUIDELINES TASK FORCE, INCLUDES A QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE, FOR CLINICIANS WHO NEED A QUICK REFERENCE IN CARING FOR PATIENTS, AND A CLINICAL PRACTICE GUIDELINE, FOR SOPHISTICATED HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS INTERESTED IN BOTH THE RECOMMENDATIONS AND THE EVIDENCE SUPPORTING RECOMMENDATIONS.
NPIAP HAS DEVELOPED PRODUCTS THAT ARE SOLD IN ITS ONLINE STORE. THE PRODUCTS INCLUDE ILLUSTRATIONS, PHOTOS AND DOCUMENTS THAT SUPPORT NPIAPS MISSION TO EDUCATE AND SHARE INFORMATION WITH HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS, PUBLISHERS AND STUDENTS.
