OPERATION MEND:IRF PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO THIS PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDES ADVANCED RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGICAL CARE FREE OF CHARGE BY LEADING SURGEONS TO MILITARY PERSONNEL WHO HAVE SUSTAINED SEVERE DISFIGURING INJURIES. THE FUND PROVIDES DIRECT GRANTS TO THE UCLA FOUNDATION, THE LEAD PARTY AND ADMINISTRATOR OF THE OPERATION MEND PROGRAM.IN FISCAL YEAR 2022, OPERATION MEND SERVED 154 VETERANS IN ITS SURGICAL PROGRAM (INCLUDES REPEAT VISITS), 66 VETERANS AND 19 CAREGIVERS IN ITS INTENSIVE TREATMENT PROGRAMS (IOPS) AND 89 VETERANS IN ITS DIAGNOSTICS PROGRAM. SINCE 2007, OPERATION MEND HAS PROVIDED TO VETERANS MORE THAN 550 SURGERIES AND PROCEDURES, MORE THAN 4,800 MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS, AND MORE THAN 43,000 HOURS OF CLINICAL TREATMENT IN THE IOPS.
HELP FOR HEROES:IRF PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION IN GREAT BRITAIN THAT PROVIDES DIRECT AND PRACTICAL HELP TO MEMBERS OF THE UK ARMED FORCES WHO WERE WOUNDED, INJURED OR SICK DURING MILITARY SERVICE TO THE UK. HELP FOR HEROES SPONSORS RECOVERY CENTERS AND REHABILITATION CENTERS ACROSS THE UK TO PROVIDE DIRECT CARE SERVICES, AND GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS THAT SUPPORT UK MILITARY PERSONNEL, VETERANS AND FAMILIES.
