EDUCATIONAL MEETING ATTENDED BY NY CHAPTER MEMBERS, NON-MEMBERS, COLLEGE STUDENTS STUDYING ENGINEERING AND ENGINEERING COMPANY REPRESENTATIVES. RELEVANT TOPICS ARE PRESENTED AT THESE MEETINGS.


COMMUNITY RELATIONS WORKS WITH HABITAT FOR HUMANITY AND DOES PEER REVIEWS ON THE MECHANICAL SYSTEMS FOR THE BUILDINGS HABITAT FOR HUMANITY FIXES. MONEY IS ALSO RAISED ON BEHALF OF HABITAT FOR HUMANITY BY PARTICIPATING IN "BUILD DAY" WHERE INDIVIDUALS WILL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS TO HELP BUILD NEW CONSTRUCTION FOR ONE DAY.


STUDENT ACTIVITIES WORKS WITH THE THREE DIFFERENT SCHOOLS IN THE AREA (TCI, NEW YORK TECHNICAL AND MANHATTAN COLLEGE) THAT HAVE STUDENT BRANCHES OF ASHRAE TO EXTEND SCHOLARSHIPS. THE PROGRAM AND THE COLLABORATING SCHOOLS PROMOTE HVAC ENGINEERING TO STUDENTS.
