THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SOCIAL WORKERS (NEW YORK CITY CHAPTER) (THE "ASSOCIATION") IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION WITH THE GOAL OF FURTHERING KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION OF THE SOCIAL WORK PROFESSION. IT SERVES ITS MEMBERS BY SPONSORING MEETINGS AND INSTITUTES OF PROFESSIONAL INTEREST, AS WELL AS BY SETTING UP COMMITTEES OF MEMBERS TO WORK ON VARIOUS ASPECTS OF SOCIAL WORK. IN ADDITION, THE ASSOCIATION SUPPLIES PUBLICATIONS OF INTEREST TO THE FIELD. ALL ACTIVITIES OF THE ASSOCIATION ARE GEARED TOWARD HELPING ITS MEMBERS IMPROVE THEIR SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY.
