THE ASH HYPERTENSION SPECIALISTS PROGRAM WAS FORMED BY THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF HYPERTENSION, INC. ( ASH ) IN 1998. IT WAS INCORPORATED AS A TESTING ARM OF THE SOCIETY THAT IDENTIFIES PHYSICIANS AND CLINICIANS WITH A SPECIFIC SCOPE OF KNOWLEDGE IN HYPERTENSION THROUGH TAKING AND PASSING EXAMINATIONS. THE ASH HYPERTENSION SPECIALISTS PROGRAM OFFERS TWO CERTIFICATIONS: THE PHYSICIANS SPECIALIST IN CLINICAL HYPERTENSION CERTIFICATION AND THE NP PHARMD AND PA HYPERTENSION CLINICIAN CERTIFICATION.
