THE COUNCIL OF PUBLIC RELATIONS FIRMS, INC. IS A TRADE ASSOCIATION FOR THE (CONTINUED IN SCHEDULE O) PUBLIC RELATIONS INDUSTRY. IT ADVOCATES ON BEHALF OF THE INDUSTRY WHERE PUBLIC RELATIONS IS A STRATEGIC BUSINESS TOOL, AND IT PROVIDES MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SERVICES TO ITS MEMBER FIRMS.

HELPING MEMBERS ATTRACT AND RETAIN HIGH PERFORMING AND DIVERSE TALENT WAS A KEY PRIORITY. THE COUNCIL CONTINUED TO ADVISE MEMBERS ON DE&I ACTION PLANS AND HELP TO FULFILL THOSE ACTION STEPS. THE COUNCIL PROVIDED A NUMBER OF TRAININGS FOR CEOS AND STAFF ON DEI TOPICS AND OTHER BUSINESS CRITICAL SKILLS.
DEMONSTRATING THE VALUE OF PUBLIC RELATIONS AGENCIES IS THE COUNCIL'S PRIORITY. THE COUNCIL HAS DEVELOPED AN ADVOCACY PROGRAM THAT CONSISTS OF RESEARCH, CLIENT AND SCHOOL OUTREACH, AND PUBLIC RELATIONS.
THE COUNCIL PROVIDED BUSINESS MANAGEMENT SUPPORT, WITH A FOCUS ON HELPING MEMBERS NAVIGATE THE CONTINUING PANDEMIC, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE ENORMOUS BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY AND MANAGE THROUGH THE TALENT SHORTAGE. EFFORTS INCLUDED BENCHMARKING SURVEYS (OVERALL AGENCY COSTS, BILL RATES, AND SALARY), EXPERT WEBINARS, COMMUNITY MEETINGS AS WELL AS L&D OPPORTUNITIES.IN ORDER TO EDUCATE AND KEEP YOUNG TALENT ENGAGED WITH THE INDUSTRY, THE COUNCIL OFFERED THE AGENCY-READY CERTIFICATE PROGRAM FOR A THIRD YEAR.
COMMUNICATING THE BENEFITS OF MODERN PR AGECIES WAS A KEY FOCUS AREA. EFFORTS INCLUDED INDUSTRY FORUM PARTICIPATION, SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS, LOCAL AND NATIONAL EVENT SPONSORSHIP, AND COLLABORATION WITH OTHER INDUSTRY ASSOCIATIONS TO RAISE AWARENESS OF THE COUNCIL'S MISSION.
