THE BHUTAN FOUNDATION S MISSION IS TO HELP IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF THE BHUTANESE PEOPLE BY ENABLING ITS CITIZENS TO PURSUE ACTIVITIES THAT BENEFIT BHUTANESE SOCIETY AND TO INCREASE AWARENESS OF BHUTAN AND ITS CULTURE IN THE UNITED STATES.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT - THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS PROGRAMS IN BHUTAN THAT PROMOTE EQUITABLE AND SUSTAINABLE SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. THIS INCLUDES PROGRAMS IN HEALTHCARE, EDUCATION, FOOD SECURITY, AND INCOME GENERATION.


ENVIRONMENT - THE BHUTAN FOUNDATION SUPPORTS PROGRAMS IN BHUTAN THAT PROMOTE THE CONSERVATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT. CONSERVATION PROGRAMS ARE FOCUSED ON SPECIES CONSERVATION, SUCH AS THE TIGER CONSERVATION PROGRAM AND SNOW LEOPARD CONSERVATION PROGRAM.


THE BHUTAN FOUNDATION SUPPORTS PROGRAMS IN BHUTAN THAT PROMOTE GOOD GOVERNANCE, PARTICULARLY TO SUPPORT THE CAPACITY BUILDING OF LOCAL NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND TO SUPPORT DEMOCRACY IN BHUTAN.


THE BHUTAN FOUNDATION SUPPORTS PROGRAMS IN BHUTAN THAT PROMOTE THE PRESERVATION AND PROMOTION OF BHUTANS CULTURE. OUR MOST SIGNIFICANT CULTURAL PROJECT IS THE RESTORATION AND ADAPTIVE REUSE OF THE WANGDUECHOLING PALACE.
