THE MPA CONTINUED TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS TO HELP EDUCATORS AND MUSICIANS BETTER UNDERSTAND COPYRIGHT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AS IT PERTAINS TO SHEET MUSIC. DURING THE 2023-2024 SEASON, THE MPA PARTNERED WITH THE INTERNATIONAL CONFEDERATION OF MUSIC PUBLISHERS TO REMOVE UNAUTHORIZED CONTENT FROM INTERNET SITES ON BEHALF OF MPA AND ICMP MEMBERS. THE MPA HAD A PRESENCE AT THE MIDWEST BAND AND ORCHESTRA CLINIC IN CHICAGO, HOSTING A BREAKFAST FOR MEMBERS AND PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS. PARTNERING WITH THE NATIONAL MUSIC COUNCIL, THE MPA HELD ANNUAL AWARDS IN NEW YORK CITY.
