AMERICAN THEATRE OF ACTORS WAS FOUNDED TO PROVIDE ACTORS DIRECTORS AND PLAYWRIGHTS WITH A CREATIVE SPACE IN WHICH TO WORK WITHOUT THE PRESSURES OF COMMERCIAL THEATRE. WE PRODUCE NEW WORKS AND CLASSICS. OUR VENUE ALSO SERVES OTHER THEATRE-MAKERS IN NEED OF A THEATRICAL SPACE.

PAYING ARTISTS. APPROXIMATELY 60 ARTISTS WERE PAID STIPENDS. THIS INCLUDES OUR SPECIAL INITIATIVE TO FEATURE WOMEN IN THEATRE WIT!.
PRODUCTIONS. FULFILLING OUR MISSION TO PRODUCE NEW PLAYS 10+ AND CLASSICAL PLAYS 3+ TO ROUND OUT THE TRAINING WE PROVIDE TO ARTISTS. THESE COSTS ARE FOR RAW MATERIALS COSTUMES PROPS SET ADVERTISING PRINTING ETC.
MAINTENANCE OF THE VENUE FOR OUR PRODUCTIONS AND HOSTING OTHER PRODUCTION COMPANIES. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE OUR COST OF THE LEASE.
