A NEW FILM PREMIERED DIRECTED, WRITTEN, AND CHOREOGRAPHED BY DAVID COMMISSIONED BY PEAK PERFORMANCES SCREENING ONLINE ON PEAK PLUS. TITLED THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD DAVID, WHAT HAPPENED 1978-2021). HIS FILM LAST YEAR CONTINUES TO STREAM ONLINE THE PHILADELPHIA FRINGE THE PHILADELPHIA MATTER 1972/2020 AND WAS SELECTED BY THE NEW YORK TIMES CRITICS AS ONE OF THE BEST IN DANCE OF LAST YEAR. DAVID GORDON PASSED AWAY UNEXPECTEDLY ON JANUARY 29, 2029. THE NEW WORK HE HAD IN REHEARSAL DID NOT MOVE FORWARD. THERE WERE PERFORMANCES AT THE WILLIAM WAY LGBT COMMUNITY CENTER PHILADELPHIA IN MAY 2022 AND AT THE BARYSHNIKOV ARTS CENTER IN NEW YORK CITY IN JUNE 2022.AIN GORDON'S WORK-IN-DEVELOPMENT RELICS AND THEIR HUMANS HAD WEEK LONG WORKSHOP RESIDENCIES AT: KRANNERT CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS; BOSTON UNIVERSITY; AND THE ABRONS ARTS CENTER NEW YORK CITY.
