THE FUND FOR THE CITY OF NEW YORK WAS CREATED IN 1968 BY THE FORD FOUNDATION TO BE RESPONSIVE TO OPPORTUNITIES TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR ALL NEW YORKERS BY WORKING TO IMPROVE THE PERFORMANCE OF GOVERNMENT AND NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.

Part 3 - Line 4a

CENTER FOR COURT INNOVATION PROGRAM HELPS THE JUSTICE SYSTEM AND VICTIMS, REDUCE CRIME, STRENGTHEN NEIGHBORHOODS AND IMPROVE PUBLIC TRUST IN JUSTICE. THE CENTER COMBINES ACTION AND REFLECTION TO SPARK INNOVATION LOCALLY, NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY.


PARTNER PROGRAM PROVIDES FISCAL, ADMINISTRATIVE AND HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANCE TO MORE THAN 70 NONPROFIT PROJECTS THAT FOCUS ON A BROAD RANGE OF PROGRAMS OF SOCIAL SERVICES, WOMEN, HEALTH, FAMILY AND EDUCATION.


CORE PROGRAM WAS CREATED TO RESPOND TO NONPROFIT CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES FACING NONPROFIT AND PUBLIC AGENCIES THAT DO NOT HAVE IMMEDIATE SOLUTIONS; CASH FLOW LOAN WHICH ANNUALLY PROVIDES LOANS TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS; SLOAN PUBLIC SERVICE AWARDS PROGRAM WHICH ANNUALLY HONORS SIX UNSUNG HEROS OF NEW YORK CITY GOVERNMENT AND SLOAN AWARDS PROGRAM FOR EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING SERVICE AND MATHEMATICS WHICH HONORS SEVEN TEACHERS EACH YEAR FROM NYC HIGH SCHOOLS.
