BERKSHIRE CHORAL INTERNATIONAL (BCI) PRODUCES A VARIETY OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE CHORAL SINGERS WITH IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCES TO STUDY, REHEARSE, AND PERFORM HIGH QUALITY CHORAL MUSIC UNDER THE DIRECTION OF WORLD-CLASS CONDUCTORS, CLINICIANS, AND PROFESSIONAL MUSIC FACULTY.BCI IS A NON-PROFIT EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION WHICH CURRENTLY BRINGS TOGETHER 400 CHORISTERS DURING FOUR UNIQUE SINGING WEEKS OR MULTI-DAY WORKSHOPS. SINGERS PAY ROOM, BOARD, AND TUITION FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE.THE PRIMARY PROGRAM IS FOR ADULT CHORISTERS. EACH PROGRAMS REPERTOIRE IS CAREFULLY CURATED BY LEADING CONDUCTORS AND CLINICIANS TO EXPLORE THE FULL RANGE OF CHORAL MUSIC EXPRESSION. THE ORGANIZATIONAL MISSION IS TO EXPAND THE MUSICAL HORIZONS OF PARTICIPANTS WITH LIFELONG EDUCATION AND CONNECTION TO AN INSPIRING COMMUNITY OF PROFESSIONAL CHORAL ARTISTS.TYPICAL PROGRAM ACTIVITIES INCLUDE INTENSIVE DAILY CHORAL REHEARSALS, CLASSES PROVIDING GROUNDING IN TOPICS INCLUDING MUSIC HISTORY, THEORY, SIGHT SINGING, AND VOCAL PRODUCTION TAUGHT BY THE PROFESSIONAL FACULTY; PRIVATE VOICE LESSONS AND COACHING FROM THE FACULTY (FOR A FEE); AND SINGING IN PUBLIC PERFORMANCES IN SIGNIFICANT VENUES WITH PROFESSIONAL ORCHESTRA AND SOLOISTS. PARTICIPANTS ALSO HAVE TIME FOR LOCAL CULTURAL EXPLORATION AT EACH VENUE.
