CLARION STRIVES TO BRING GREAT PERFORMANCES OF CLASSICAL MUSIC TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE. WE ARE ALWAYS AIMING TO DIVERSIFY AND GROW OUR AUDIENCES, MAKING COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS AND SENIORS, EXPANDING OUR MARKETING EFFORTS, AND WORKING WITH OUR ARTISTS TO LET POTENTIAL AUDIENCE MEMBERS KNOW ABOUT OUR UPCOMING EVENTS. WE HAVE ALSO EXPANDED OUR AUDIENCE ON SOCIAL MEDIA SO THAT OUR PERFORMANCES REACH PEOPLE WHO COULD OTHERWISE NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND OUR PERFORMANCES DUE TO GEOGRAPHICAL CONSTRAINTSTHROUGH OUR RECORDINGS, WE AIM TO RECORD AND PRESERVE A VALUABLE MUSICAL GENRE AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL AND TO ENCOURAGE OTHER ENSEMBLES TO EMBRACE THIS REPERTOIRE AS WELLBY HOSTING OUR ANNUAL EDUCATIONAL WEEK, CLARION AIMS TO ENCOURAGE YOUNG MUSICIANS TO STUDY HISTORICALLY-INFORMED PERFORMANCE PRACTICE AND TO EXPAND THEIR MUSICAL HORIZONS AT NO COST TO THEM OR THEIR FAMILIES. IN GENERAL, 15-20 STUDENT PARTICIPANTS TAKE PART IN THE MASTERCLASSES, REHEARSAL EACH YEAR.

THE CLARION CHOIR & ORCHESTRA SPECIALIZES IN MUSIC OF THE BAROQUE, CLASSICAL AND EARLY ROMANTIC PERIODS. THE CLARION CHOIR HAS ALSO DEVELOPED AN INTERNATIONAL REPUTATION FOR ITS PERFORMANCES AND RECORDINGS OF EASTERN EUROPEAN SACRED MUSIC FROM THE EARLY PART OF THE 20TH CENTURY, PARTICULARLY THE CHORAL WORKS OF SERGEI RACHMANINOFF, MAXIMILIAN STEINBERG, AND ALEXANDER KASTALSKY. WE HAVE PRODUCED FOUR GRAMMY-NOMINATED ALBUMS TO DATE, INCLUDING A RECORDING OF RACHMANINOFF'S ALL-NIGHT VIGIL ('VESPERS') THAT WAS RELEASED ON THE PENTATONE LABEL ON JANUARY 27, 2023. OUR NEXT PLANNED RECORDING PROJECTS INCLUDE A RACHMANINOFF'S LITURGY OF ST. JOHN CHRYSOSTOM, TO BE RELEASED IN APRIL 2025, AND THE WORLD PREMIERE RECORDING OF CONTEMPORARY COMPOSER ALEXANDER LEVINE'S VIGIL FOR PEACE.
