AS A COMMUNITY CENTER, BRONX HOUSE OFFERS DYNAMIC EDUCATIONAL, HEALTH, RECREATIONAL AND CULTURAL PROGRAMS THAT ARE ENRICHING AND MEANINGFUL.GUIDED BY OUR JEWISH COMMUNAL VALUES AND TRADITIONS, BONX HOUSE WELCOMES ALL PEOPLE TO ENGAGE IN THE OPPORTUNITIES TO LEAD A BETTER LIFE.

Part 3 - Line 4a

UNIVERSAL PRE-K AND CHILDRENS SERVICES THE ORGANIZATION SPONSORS NUMEROUS PROGRAMS FOR THE YOUNG CHILDREN OF SINGLE PARENTS AND FAMILIES WHERE BOTH PARENTS WORK. THE UNIVERSAL PRE-K PROGRAM IS FUNDED BY THE NEW YORK CITY DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION FOR PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN. THE AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS ARE FOR COMMUNITY CHILDREN. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO RUNS A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS FOR TEENAGERS AND PRE-TEENS. IN ADDITION, BRONX HOUSE OPERATES 3 MIDDLE SCHOOL AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS SONYC PROGRAMS - FUNDED BY THE NYC DEPARTMENT OF YOUTH AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.


OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES THE ORGANIZATION MAINTAINS A FEE-BASED MUSIC AND DANCE SCHOOL AND PROVIDES ADDITIONAL SERVICES FOR CHILDREN.


DAY CAMPS THE ORGANIZATIONS RUNS FOUR SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMS. THE CAMP PROGRAMS INCLUDE A TRADITIONAL DAY CAMP PROGRAM FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN, TRAVEL CAMP PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN AND A COMBINED TRADITIONAL/TRAVEL PROGRAM FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN. THE CAMPS ARE BASED AT THE HENRY KAUFMANN CAMPGROUNDS IN PEARL RIVER, NEW YORK.
