AS A NON-COLLECTING MUSEUM, SCULPTURECENTER'S ANNUAL EXHIBITION PROGRAM INCLUDES 3-6 SOLO AND GROUP EXHIBITIONS (MOST CONSISTING ENTIRELY OF NEWLY COMMISSIONED WORKS) AND AN IN PRACTICE OPEN CALL PROGRAM, WHICH FEATURES NEW COMMISSIONS BY 10-15 EMERGING ARTISTS. TO FACILITATE DEEP PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT AND ENCOURAGE DIALOGUE BETWEEN VISITORS OF ALL AGES, ARTISTS, AND THEIR WORK, SCULPTURECENTER HOSTS FREE EVENTS AND PROGRAMS THAT COMPLEMENT OUR EXHIBITIONS, SUCH AS LECTURES AND PANEL DISCUSSIONS, WITH LEADERS IN THE FIELD OF CONTEMPORARY ART AND OTHER RELATED FIELDS.IN FISCAL YEAR 2021, SCULPTURECENTER PRESENTED 4 CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED EXHIBITIONS, SHOWCASING 14 ARTISTS: TISHAN HSU: LIQUID CIRCUIT, THE FIRST MUSEUM RETROSPECTIVE OF THE ARTIST'S SCULPTURE AND PAINTING FROM THE 1980S THROUGH THE EARLY 2000S (TOURED TO HAMMER MUSEUM, LOS ANGELES IN FY20); JESSE WINE: IMPERFECT LIST, THE ARTIST'S FIRST INSTITUTIONAL SOLO EXHIBITION IN THE UNITED STATES AND THE DEBUT OF 14 NEWLY COMMISSIONED CERAMIC WORKS; RINDON JOHNSON: LAW OF LARGE NUMBERS: OUR BODIES, THE ARTIST'S FIRST SOLO MUSEUM EXHIBITION INCLUDING 6 NEWLY COMMISSIONED WORKS (CO-ORGANIZED WITH CHISENHALE GALLERY, LONDON); AND IN PRACTICE: YOU MAY GO, BUT THIS WILL BRING YOU BACK, FEATURING NEW COMMISSIONS BY 11 EMERGING ARTISTS SELECTED FROM A POOL OF OVER 1,000 PROPOSALS TO THE ANNUAL OPEN CALL PROGRAM.SCULPTURECENTER'S DIVERSE PROGRAMMING EXPANDS UPON ITS MISSION AND ENRICHES THE DISCOURSE BETWEEN ARTISTS AND AUDIENCES.
