VAN CORTLANDT HOUSE MUSEUM: VAN CORTLANDT IS NEW YORK CITY'S FIRST HOUSE MUSEUM, OWNED BY THE CITY OF NEW YORK AND MANAGED BY NSCD-NY. THE GOAL IS TO PROMOTE THE EDUCATION OF COLONIAL HISTORY AND AS SEEN THROUGH THE VAN CORTLANDT FAMILY AND HOME AND OF THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE EARLY DUTCH COLONY. EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS PROMOTES EARLY COLONIAL HISTORY THROUGH SCHOOL CLASS VISITS, DOCENT AND INDIVIDUAL TOURS, AND A SUMMER HISTORY CAMP FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN.
BUILDING RESTORATION AND MAINTENANCE: THE NATIONAL SOCIETY OF COLONIAL DAMES HAS IMPLEMENTED AN ON-GOING RESTORATION PROGRAM TO ENSURE THE INTEGRITY OF OUR MUSEUM HOUSE IS MAINTAINED.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS-HEADQUARTERS FACILITY: OUR GOAL IS TO PROMOTE COLONIAL HISTORY AND PATRIOTISM TO SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN THROUGH CLASS VISITS AND TOURS OF OUR HEADQUARTERS FACILITY. CLASSES AND TOURS ARE CONDUCTED FOR BOTH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOL CHILDREN FROM THE NEW YORK METROPOLITAN AREA.
