PROVIDE FUNDS FOR SIGHT RELATED PROJECTS AND RESEARCH; DISTRIBUTE FUNDS TO COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, PROJECTS, AND THE LESS FORTUNATE; DONATE FUNDS TO LOCAL YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS; AND SUPPORT LOCAL, REGIONAL, AND NATIONAL CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS.

SIGHT: THESE DONATIONS ARE FOR RESEARCH DESIGNED TO ERADICATE PREVENTABLE BLINDNESS, IMPROVE TREATMENT OF BLINDNESS PROCEDURES, AND PROVIDE DEVICES TO PERSONS OF LOW VISION. COMMUNITY: THESE DONATIONS ARE EXAMPLES OF THE TERRYVILLE LIONS CLUB'S COMMITMENT TO ITS COMMUNITY. THESE DONATIONS ARE FOR THE FUEL BANK, A CHILDREN'S HALLOWEEN PARTY, AND EGG HUNT, THE AFTER GRAD PARTY, EYE WORK FOR THE NEEDY, DONATIONS TO PUBLIC HEALTH, FIRE, LOCK MUSEUM, ET AL. THIS INCLUDES THE CLUB'S ANNUAL CHRISTMAS DISTRIBUTION TO NEEDY FAMILIES (APPROXIMATELY 45-55) WHO RECEIVE BASKETS OF FOOD, AS WELL AS WINTER CLOTHING AND TOYS FOR CHILDREN. YOUTH: THESE DONATIONS DISPLAY THE CLUB'S COMMITMENT TO THE YOUTH OF THE TOWN. SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS ARE DESIGNED TO HELP HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS FURTHER THEIR EDUCATION. THE LIONS CLUB SCREENS ALL APPLICANTS AND MAKES AWARDS BASED ON ACADEMICS, COMMUNITY SERVICE, AND FINANCIAL NEED. DONATIONS AND SPONSORING TEAMS IN YOUTH ATHLETIC LEAGUES PROVIDE AND EXTEND OPPORTUNITIES FOR MORE CHILDREN TO PARTICIPATE. DONATIONS: TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS RED CROSS, YMCA, JDRF, CT HOSPICE, SALVATION ARMY, ST. VINCENT DEPAUL, ET AL.
