IN FURTHERANCE OF ITS EXEMPT PURPOSES, THE AMERICAN FRIENDS OF THE ART FUND ENCOURAGES THE APPRECIATION AND ENJOYMENT OF ART BY SUPPORTING THE CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES OF THE ART FUND (A CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION LOCATED IN LONDON, ENGLAND, OPERATING UNDER THE AWARD OF A ROYAL CHARTER AND REGISTERED AS A CHARITY IN THE UNITED KINGDOM) AS WELL AS MUSEUMS AND OTHER ART-SUPPORTING ORGANIZATIONS. THE GRANT TO THE ART FUND WAS MADE IN SUPPORT OF THE ART FUND'S GENERAL CHARITABLE PURPOSES.
