TO CREATE THEATRE AND THEATRE-RELATED PROGRAMS THAT PROMOTE THE HUMANITARIAN IDEALS CENTRAL TO THE WORK OF ACTIVIST PLAYWRIGHT GEORGE BERNARD SHAW, INCLUDING UNIVERSAL HUMAN RIGHTS, THE FREEDOM OF THOUGHT AND SPEECH, THE EQUALITY OF ALL LIVING BEINGS, AND THE RESPONSIBILITY OF INDIVIDUALS TO PROMOTE SOCIETAL PROGRESS.

GINGOLD THEATRICAL GROUP, FOUNDED IN 2006, CREATES THEATRE AND THEATRE-RELATED PROGRAMS THAT PROMOTE THE HUMANITARIAN IDEALS CENTRAL TO THE WORK OF ACTIVIST PLAYWRIGHT GEORGE BERNARD SHAW, INCLUDING UNIVERSAL HUMAN RIGHTS, THE FREEDOM OF THOUGHT AND SPEECH, THE EQUALITY OF ALL LIVING BEINGS, AND THE RESPONSIBILITY OF INDIVIDUALS TO PROMOTE SOCIETAL PROGRESS. ALL OF GINGOLDS PROGRAMMING IS INSPIRED BY THE OPPORTUNITY TO PRESENT AND CREATE ART THAT EMBRACES THE FUNDAMENTAL ELEMENTS OF THE JOYS OF DIVERSITY, SELF-EMPOWERMENT, AND THE CHANCE TO BRING HOPE AND CLARITY THROUGH ART TO A NEEDFUL COMMUNITY.GTG PRESENTED A FULL OFF-BROADWAY PRODUCTION OF SHAWS ARMS AND THE MAN, ATTENDED BY 4000 PATRONS AND EMPLOYING 250 PEOPLE. THE SPEAKERS CORNER WORKSHOPS INCLUDED 1 DIRECTOR OF NEW WORKS (STAFF POSITION), 4 WRITERS, 4 DIRECTORS, 50 ACTORS, 6 STAGE MANAGERS,4 ASSISTANTS, AND ATTENDED BY 270 PEOPLE.THE 4 PROJECT SHAW READINGS WERE ATTENDED BY 650 PEOPLE, EMPLOYED 65 ACTORS, 8 STAGE MANAGERS, 4 DIRECTORS, 4 ASSISTANTS. THESE PROGRAMS ARE ALL OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. GTGS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS INVOLVES PARTNERING WITH NYC 2 HIGH-SCHOOLS AND 5 COLLEGES. GTG ALSO HOSTS DISCUSSION GROUPS, SYMPOSIUMS, AND LECTURES.THE GTG OFFICE IS ALSO USED AS A RESEARCH DESTINATION FOR ARTISTS, SCHOLARS, WRITERS, AND SOCIO-POLITICAL ACTIVISTS.
