THE ASSOCIATION SUPPORTS VICTIMS OF TERRORISM AND THEIR FAMILIES THROUGH EDUCATION, COMMUNICATION AND PEER SUPPORT. THE TRIBUTE WTC VISITOR CENTER, A PROGRAM OF THE ASSOCIATION, CONNECTS AND EDUCATES VISITORS WITH PERSONAL EXPERIENCES OF THE 9/11 COMMUNITY.

ASSOCIATION COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAM-THE ASSOCIATION COMMUNICATES DIRECTLY WITH IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS OF VICTIMS OF TERRORISM. INFORMATION, RESOURCES AND EVENTS ARESHARED WITH ALL VICTIMS AFFECTED BY 9/11. 911FAMILES.ORG IS MAINTAINED WITH NEWS, RESOURCES, EVENTS, AND COMMEMORATIONS TO INFORM AND ENGAGE THE COMMUNITY. PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO ENGAGE THE 9/11 COMMUNITY, PROVIDE A SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT, AND ENCOURAGE PEER SUPPORT.


TRIBUTE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS-9/11 TRIBUTE VOLUNTEERS ARE TRAINED TO SERVE AS EDUCATIONAL GUIDES TO SHARE THEIR PERSONAL EXPERIENCES. TRIBUTE GUIDES ARE FAMILY MEMBERS WHO LOST LOVED ONES, SURVIVORS, FIRST RESPONDERS, RECOVERY WORKERS AND RESIDENTS OF LOWER MANHATTAN. TRIBUTE GUIDES PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES TO VISITORS FROM AROUND THE WORLD AND SCHOOL GROUPS AT THE 9/11 MEMORIAL. PROGRAMMING INCLUDES PEER SUPPORT AND SHARING THE INSPIRING PERSONAL HISTORY OF 9/11. CLASSROOM EDUCATIONAL WEB RESOURCES FOR TEACHING 9/11 ARE AVAILABLE AT 911TRIBUTEMUSEUM.ORG. EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES ARE BASED ON EXHIBITIONS OF THE 9/11 TRIBUTE MUSEUM AND 9/11 COMMUNITY PERSONAL STORIES OF RESILENCE. THE TRIBUTE EDUCATIONAL TOOLKIT OFFERS INTERACTIVE VIDEO STORIES OF PEOPLE WHO WERE DEEPLY AFFECTED BY THE ATTACKS AND REVEAL HOW THEY RESPONED WITH HUMANITARIAN INITIATIVES THAT STRENGTHENED THEIR LOCAL AND GLOBAL COMMUNITIES.
