THE MISSION IS TO PROMOTE THE SOCIAL WELFARE OF THE COMMUNITY; ASSIST NEEDY AND DISABLED VETERANS; PERPETUATE THE MEMORY OF DECEASED VETERANS; SPONSOR ACTIVITIES OF A PATRIOTIC NATURE; AND PROVIDE SOCIAL AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR MEMBERS.

FUND TWO SCHOLARSHIPS EACH YEAR. THE SCHOLARSHIP IS NOT A NEEDS-BASED SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM, BUT RATHER ONE WHERE ELIGIBLE HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS COMPETE FOR THE AWARDS. THE CANDIDATES NEED TO DEMONSTRATE A TIE TO VETERANS EITHER THROUGH FAMILY OR COMMUNITY SERVICE. DIRECT SUPPORT OF AMERICAN LEGION EVENTS WILL EARN ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATION. NO SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED FOR THE YEAR ENDING AUGUST 31, 2021 DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC HAVING SEVERELY AFFECTED OUR ABILITY TO RAISE FUNDS.


THE VETERAN OF THE MONTH FLAG RAISING PROGRAM IS HELD THE FIRST SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH AND HONORS DECEASED VETERANS. THE POST HOSTS NINE CEREMONIES PER YEAR.
