DUE TO THE ONGOING COVID PANDEMIC, SAMS HELD ONLY TWO NATIONAL CONFERENCES INSTEAD OF THREE. ONE IN TRABZON, TURKEY IN JULY 2021 AND ONE IN CHICAGO IN SEPTEMBER 2021. THE CONFERENCES GATHER RENOWNED MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS, EDUCATORS, AND PUBLIC FIGURES TO SHARE EXPERTISE AND EXPERIENCES, GAIN AN IN-DEPTH PERSPECTIVE ON CHALLENGES IN MEDICAL RELIEF, AND ADDRESS CURRENT UPDATES AND INNOVATIONS IN MEDICINE. ADDITIONALLY, THE CONFERENCES PROVIDE A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO ACQUIRE CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION (CME) CREDITS, RAISE FUNDS TO SUPPORT SYRIANS IN NEED, STAY UP-TO-DATE ON THE CRISIS IN SYRIA, SAMS'S ADVOCACY EFFORTS FOR SYRIA, AND INNOVATIVE HUMANITARIAN AND RELIEF WORK FROM SAMS AND OUR PARTNERS.


ADVOCACY: SAMS HAS BECOME A LEADER IN ADVOCACY AND ENGAGEMENT WITH POLICYMAKERS ON BOTH THE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL STAGE. SAMS EFFECTIVELY ADVOCATES TO INCREASE POLITICAL WILL AROUND TAKING ACTION TO END THE SYRIAN CRISIS. OUR ADVOCACY ENSURES THAT INSTANCES OF ATTACKS ON HEALTHCARE FACILITIES, CHALLENGES OF COMMUNITIES UNDER SIEGE, AND THE HEROIC WORK OF SYRIAN MEDICAL WORKERS REACH POLICY MAKERS, THINK TANKS, THE MEDIA, AND THE PUBLIC. SAMS STRIVES TO ECHO AND RAISE THE VOICE OF OUR COLLEAGUES ON THE GROUND WHO CONTINUE TO RISK THEIR SAFETY TO SAVE LIVES AND ALLEVIATE SUFFERING.
