CAMBRIDGE CAMPINGS MISSION IS TO PROVIDE MEANINGFUL SUMMER AND SCHOOL-YEAR EXPERIENCES TO UNDER-RESOURCED, URBAN CHILDREN IN SUPPORTIVE AND INCLUSIVE COMMUNITIES THROUGH ENRICHING AND INSPIRING PROGRAMS.

FOR 125 YEARS, CAMBRIDGE CAMPING ASSOCIATION CCA HAS PROVIDED ACCESSIBLE AND MEANINGFUL SUMMER PROGRAMMING TO URBAN YOUTH FROM LOW-INCOME FAMILIES. SINCE ITS FOUNDING IN 1893, CCA HAS OFFERED PLACEMENTS FOR CHILDREN FROM IMPOVERISHED BACKGROUNDS TO ENJOY A COUNTRY WEEK - TIME AWAY FROM THE CITY AT A WESTERN MA FARM. CCA CONTINUES THAT WORK TODAY, SENDING LOW-INCOME YOUTH FROM ALL OVER GREATER BOSTON TO BOTH DAY AND OVERNIGHT CAMPS THROUGHOUT NEW ENGLAND. IN 1969, CCA FOUNDED ITS OWN CAMPS AND TODAY OPERATES TWO SITES AND ALSO PROVIDES REFERRAL AND SCHOLARSHIP SERVICES TO UNDERSERVED YOUTH.
