TO PROVIDE A FACILITY FOR MIDLAND CITIZENS PRIMARILY ON THE SOUTH SIDE FOR QUALITY OF LIFE IMPROVEMENT AND TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES. CENTER HAS NO RESTRICTIONS AS TO RACE OR RELIGION AND DEMANDS PROPER DEPORTMENT WHILE USING THE PROGRAMS.

Part 3 - Line 4a

SUMMER DAY CAMP IS AN ACADEMIC PROGRAM THAT REINFORCES THE CORE SUBJECTS TAUGHT THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR. WE HIRE CERTIFIED SCHOOL TEACHERS TO WORK WITH 130 KINDERGARTEN-8TH GRADE STUDENTS.


AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO STUDENTS NEEDING HELP IN ATTAINING GRADE LEVEL CLASSIFICATION. READING, MATH, AND COMPUTER USE IS TAUGHT BY A TUTOR WITH VOLUNTEER ASSISTANCE SUPERVISED BY CENTER PERSONNEL.


THE PURPOSE OF THE LEARNING CENTER IS TO EQUIP A GROUP OF STRUGGLING 3RD GRADE STUDENTS TO A HIGHER LEVEL OF COMPETENCY IN READING AND MATH BY THE TIME THEY TAKE THE 5TH GRADE STAAR TEST.
