DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROGRAMS: INCLUDES 24 HOUR HOTLINE; EMERGENCY TRANSITIONAL HOUSING, CHILDREN'S SERVICES, LEGAL ADVOCACY; ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMS; INDIVIDUAL ADVOCACY AND SUPPORT GROUPS; COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND EDUCATION; SUPPORTIVE HOUSING SERVICES.DUE TO COVID-19 HARBORCOV CONTINUED TO SECURE SPACE FOR 13 INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES COMING FROM OUR EMERGENCY SHELTER PROGRAM AT AREA HOTELS. ADDITIONALLY, WITH AN INCREASE IN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CASES, HARBORCOV WAS ALSO ABLE TO SECURE ADDITIONAL SPACE FOR 18 INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES FLEEING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE FROM OUR COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAM. IN ADDITION TO THE HOTEL EXPENSES, HARBORCOV ALSO PROVIDED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND RESOURCES TO ITS CLIENTS, WHICH INCLUDED FOOD VOUCHERS, RENTAL ASSISTANCE, UTILITY ASSISTANCE, TRANSPORTATION, CLOTHING, DIAPERS, AND OTHER BASIC NEEDS. DESPITE STAFF TURNOVER HARBORCOV WAS ABLE TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO MEET THE NEEDS OF ITS CLIENTS.
