FOUNDED IN 1964, THE BOWDOIN INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL HOSTS SEVEN CONCERT SERIES AS PART OF AN INTENSIVE SUMMER STUDY PROGRAM THAT HELPS PROVIDE GIFTED YOUNG MUSICIANS FROM AROUND THE WORLD WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO STUDY WITH WORLD-CLASS ARTISTS AND PROVIDE AUDIENCES WITH CLASSICAL MUSIC PERFORMED TO THE HIGHEST ARTISTIC STANDARDS. THE FESTIVAL TAKES PLACE FOR SIX WEEKS EACH SUMMER ON THE BOWDOIN COLLEGE CAMPUS AND THROUGHOUT THE BRUNSWICK, MAINE AREA.DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THE ORGANIZATION SHIFTED TO HOSTING ALL ACTIVITIES ONLINE DURING THE YEAR ENDED OCTOBER 31,2020. AS A RESULT, PROGRAM SERVICE REVENUE AND EXPENSES DECLINED SIGNIFICANTLY OVER PRIOR YEAR.
